Why Am I Always Tired?
Being tired can creep up on you slow slowly, you don’t even realise it’s different from how you used to feel. It’s easily explained away by your age, your stress and your not very healthy diet. You may not think you have a problem but all medical illness must be ruled out before giving helpful advice. The first thing that you should do is visit your medical practitioner and arrange to have a full blood test. This will rule out such problems as anaemia and other conditions that can sap your strength due to reduced levels of oxygen. In addition to the blood test, your doctor may order a urine analysis to make sure that you are not diabetic. When you get the all clear from your doctor, you can start to think seriously about what could be making you feel tired. Let us look at some headings that will steer you in the right direction and hopefully get you back on track.1. Sleep. We all need about 7 to 8 hours sleep each night. This means that if you want to get up at 6 am you will need to be asleep by 10 pm. Sometimes the number counting gets confused and you need to spell it out for yourself. 2. The bedroom needs to be dark and free from outside noise disturbances. The mattress and pillow need to be correctly contoured and your chiropractor can advise you in these matters.3. Do not drink coffee or other caffeine containing drinks before retiring to bed as they contain stimulants that will keep you awake4. Try to avoid thinking about problems before you go to bed. It is not the time to be worrying about the bank loan or the mortgage. They will still be waiting for you the next day and nothing will have changed. It can be beneficial to read a book or magazine or even watch television but action and violent movies should be avoided.5. Examine your eating habits and if they are not good, correct them. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it switches on the body’s metabolism after it has been in hibernation during the previous night’s sleep. Lunch can be for some, the main meal of the day. This is true for people who work late at the office and come home late in the evening. If this is true for you, then your evening meal must be a light one and eaten at least one hour before going to bed. If a heavy meal is eaten late at night, the body just cannot metabolise and digest it and it ends up sitting in your stomach like a lump of lead. It will be then converted into fat which none of us need.6. Often our food intake is lacking in vitamins. I have heard the same old story for years that the average person does not need vitamins and that they are present in our food. I wish that it were true but it is not. Most of our food has been in cold storage and lacks the vitamin levels that our body craves.Ask your pharmacist to recommend a suitable multivitamin which contains essential minerals also. A dosage of one daily at breakfast usually brings an increase in energy. 7. Make an appointment with your chiropractor to have a full chiropractic examinationincluding a case history. If you thought that chiropractic was only to fix sore backs and necks, think again! The basic tenet of chiropractic philosophy which has not changed much since chiropractic was formulated by Daniel David Palmer is that all of the nerve energy of the body emanates from spinal nerves which in turn are an offshoot from the spinal cord.Yes! All of our body’s energy is controlled by the brain. When our body is out of alignment we can experience interference with the nerve energy and this makes us tired, as well as having other really important effects such as loss of full function of organs and muscles. You would be amazed to hear just how many chiropractic patients regain their energy after having chiropractic treatment to re-align spinal vertebrae. In the ideal world, these patients would have a regular chiropractic treatment and stay in good health. This sounds just great but they have to participate in their own bodies’ health to able to enjoy those benefits.8. Exercise and long walks will allow you to burn energy and sleep better. If you can go for an hour’s walk at night just before you go to bed, you will have the huge benefit of burning most of the calories that you have consumed at dinner.9. Last but not least, try to meditate while doing deep breathing, just before you go to bed. This will put you in a peaceful and restful state of mind and sleep will come to you naturally.

Is Everything Bad For You? – A Health Crisis
Everything is bad for you; that is what they keep reporting on the news and in the magazines. Anything related to your health is constantly on the battle field. A food has its fifteen minutes of fame as a power food and moments later is in the spotlight as a danger to your health. Fish was considered a healthy choice that is rich in omega-3, but then came the fear of mercury poisoning. There is always something. Even with workouts the same crisis is happening. Weights and cardio make their appearances in all sorts of styles. Some say it is the only way to get fit, others debate it will put too much strain on your joints. Then there are those who work out in 110 degrees rooms.None of these trends ever seem to be convenient to the average lifestyle- they all talk about sacrificing the things you like, finding strange foods you may not even be able to pronounce or identify, and going out of your way to go to a gym or spending a fortune to fill up your house with crazy gadgets you’ll never use. There is a pattern here, too, and it is that the things being reported as good or bad for you are constantly changing. It’s no wonder people don’t stick to diet or exercise plans. There is so much worry and stress involved. Is the workout or diet you chose the right one- is it going to last. That we may never know. But did you know there is one thing that is good for you- has always been good for you, and isn’t about to go away for as long as you are alive? It doesn’t have the stress or worry revolved around the diet and exercise trends- this is one you can trust because you know it well. And guess what else- it is convenient. This is one thing you can incorporate into your schedule no matter what is happening. And you can confidently know this is good for you without a doubt in your mind. This is something you can focus on- it’s breathing.Breathing is so powerful and good for you that it directly leads to a healthy lifestyle. It keeps you alive. But much like anything else- most people aren’t going all the way with it- they aren’t breathing all the way. At least 90% of people are breathing wrong- they are not taking complete proper breaths. Discovering how to take proper breaths alone will result in proper digestion, weight loss, eliminating stress, and improving your sleep. Breathing correctly is something you can do and not worry about the trends. The best thing about it is that there are also breathing techniques that can be performed as exercise- yes, breathing is the oldest form of exercise, and these simple techniques only take minutes to do. When breathing correctly is incorporated into your life, the foods and workouts you chose are able to reap the benefits even better. This is because breathing correctly makes your body start functioning properly. Of all the toxins your body releases, only 30% are intended to be expelled through the digestive system. The remaining 70% of the toxins and junk inside our bodies are designed to be released through the lungs. Because most people don’t breathe correctly- taking complete full breaths, those toxins build up causing all sorts of complications. There is a misconception that a full breath involves an excessive and giant inhale- this is wrong. And a big reason why not only are most people keeping their toxins inside their body, but also are starving their cells at the same time. Breathing correctly will change your life and improve your health through any trend or crisis. And the best part is that once you discover breathing properly- you can finally feel confident about doing something for your health and keep at it without ever inconveniencing yourself. Now that is a healthy lifestyle anyone can feel proud of.So the next time you think about improving your health, think about something you can focus on- breathing.
